That's how it is with other animals the male is more colorful and unique. If you notice all hot women look the same but men all look different. So if women wear make-up to hide there true face does that mean men are more attractive?
who said makeup is for hiding a woman's true face? who's spreading this kind of ignorance? So if women wear make-up to hide there true face does that mean men are more attractive?
That depends which sex you're attracted to....
Women who wear makeup don't do it to ';hide';, at least most of them don't...it is there to improve flaws, like skin texture or wrinkling, or to enhance features, like using mascara and eyeshadow to make the eyes more almond-shaped...
I have often wondered myself why in the human species the MALE isn't the ';flamboyant'; one, the way it is in the animal world....but it is what it is....
If you have ever been near a Player's Ball you don't doubt there are some ';human male peacocks'; around...and there is a tribe called the Wodaabe and the men dress up and dance for the women.
The males are more colorful and unique due to sexual dimorphism, i.e., the females select for the more attractive males to mate with and over time there is a difference in the appearance and size of the two sexes.
Some women are very attractive without make up, so I don't think there is any correlation.
Women don't wear makeup to hide their ';True'; face. Most wear it to bring out their better features and to cover flaws.
Did you know that lipstick was originated by ancient Greek prostitutes to advertise one of their services.
Pournos is the Greek word for prostitute and graphia is the Greek for scribbling or writing so pornography is actually whorescribbles. Ain't words neat?
All of the Bond girls as actually described by Ian Fleming in the books wore very very little make up and never wore fingernail polish.
I think natural women are beautiful
it does mean that women are not more beautiful than men...
Wearing makeup and covering imperfections is essentially hiding your true face because you are showing people what you don't really look like. How is someone supposed to love you for you if you won't show them.
This does no mean men are more attractive by default
im a woman. i dont get make up, it seems foreign to me, to plaster that sh@t on my face. in the unedited book of the bible, the book of enoch, its said the fallen taught men how to use weapons and women how to paint their faces.
to me, the stuff makes you look old. and you look like crap when you take it off. but thats just me, maybe im deluded. men and women can be vain alike.
No, I'm pretty sure my face still looks the same when I wear make up. I don't suddenly get a knew one but if it makes you feel better to be prettier than women, then sure, men are more attractive.
No
Women wear makeup to enhance their faces, not hide them. And I haven't noticed that all women look the same. And the males of most species may be more colourful, bu tthey are certainly not unique. One peacock looks much like another.
Well, maybe you should pay more attention to men.
LOL. Well, if thinking about females of the world makes you so unhappy and disappointed, why not switch for the other team. If to you male species seem to be 'more attractive, colorful and unique', you must be sexually attracted to them. However, most men admire us just the way we are. So, we are not worried.
Yes we are more attractive. The secret is that it's not because of our faces. Men are attractive becasue we make money and treat women like they are important (Although this is commonly called ';good manners'; or ';chivalry';).
Women are attractive becasue they look good. Unfortunately for them, this quality is limited to what you're born with (although make up and surgery can help to some extent) and only diminishes as they get older.

What to apply in face before putting on mineral powder make up foundation?
Ive been using a mineral make up powder foundation and somehow after I put it, I notice that its not as even or the wrinkles are not filled in by the foundation even if I try to apply it evenly and spread it out well. Should I be applying something else in my face before the mineral makeup powder foundation? What to apply in face before putting on mineral powder make up foundation?
If you apply something else it might be worse, I tried a lot of the mineral powders but never liked them, what I did find and love was the liquid mineral to powder foundation by bee-luscious because it goes on liquid but drys powdery soft giving an airbrushed look with full coverage yet a light feel , you can search under bee royal products its awesomeWhat to apply in face before putting on mineral powder make up foundation?
are u moisturizing before u put on the makeup? if so, wait 5 minutes then apply makeup. if u are doing that and it still is weird, then try a Primer. i heard smashbox has a good one, as probably laura mercier (expensive tho!).... it helps fill in pores and lines, and makes makeup go on smoother.
also, remember to exfoliate ur skin every once in awhile. try a milk and brown sugar scrub :)
Try using a good moisturizer to prep your face. Does the line of mineral foundation you use sell other products? Check to see if they sell a moisturizer.
I use a light moisturizer on the dry ares of my face.Let it set a few minutes then apply makeup!
Hello there. I am a make-up artist and I wrote an article about applying foundation. Check it on my website, you will learn a few tricks you won't find anywhere else...

Here are a few links for some pictures. A few years ago I was a vampiress. I used real makeup. I used ';pancake makeup'; like merle norman or even that dream matte mousse would work well and is not so expensive. I used a very pale ivory and mixed a little bit of baby powder with some translucent loose powder over top of the base. I used powder eyeshadow in various shades of gray and black, then I used black liquid eyeliner to line the eyes. I used a black eyeliner pencil to line my lips and a very deep shade of crimson lipstick with a touch of gloss over top. Hope this helps!

What's the best kind of face wash, moisturizer and make up you've ever used?
FACE WASH-
Exfoliation- (which EVERY woman needs to do)
I use St. Ives Apricot Scrub for exfoliating. Make sure to get the sensitive skin/gentle kind though-the normal stuff will irritate and age the least sensitive of skin!
http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.j鈥?/a>
Acne (because I have that . . . unfortunately)
I use Nuetrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash. It isn't irritating, and it really zaps those buggers.
http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.j鈥?/a>
Basic, run-of-the-mill face wash
One word- Cetaphil.
http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.j鈥?/a>
MOISTURIZER
I'm a moisturizer freak-I need MY moisturizer, and anyone else who uses a different one is WRONG. :P
I use Kiehl's Sodium-PCA oil-free moisturizer. It's great for my oily and acne-prone skin.
http://www.kiehls.com/_us/_en/catalog/pr鈥?/a>
MAKEUP
I assume you're talking about foundation here, so I'll just do that. I luuuuurve Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation. It's really light, creamy, and gives amazing coverage. If I'm looking for a really natural look, sometimes I mix it with the moisturizer.

i love all the Dove products because they are so light. i luv shimmer eyeshadow and other avon makeup. i don't wear blush or foundation because it can look like too much if you don't put it on right. What's the best kind of face wash, moisturizer and make up you've ever used?
when i was a teenager, clean %26amp; clear face wash and j%26amp;j baby cream was the best. neutrogena is a good basic product. but the product that i never stop using since 19 (now i'm 21) is OLAY TOTAL EFFECTS. i know it stops wrinkles and everything but it prevents them too. it'll be good to prevent it now and still look like you're 20 at the age of 25 and look 22 at the age of 30. olay total effects line works great for me and i only use their face wash and moisturizer.
as for make up i use several brands because each brand have atleast one outstanding product. and i use each of those brand's outstanding products.
oil of olay, free of frag, oils, and all those. I use sensitive skin, it is a blue bottle with green writing, and it works marvelous on me!! Try it, it is at Target if ya have one!
I like Biore face wash
I like Oil of Olay face wash (im sure there's better out there, but that stuff's great for only being 8..00)
%26amp; makeup i like, MAC lipgloss, Lancome compact, Benefits undereye concealer, I dont wear foundation, lip fusion lip plumper, Lancome Definicils masscara, I dont use lip liner, any kind of black gray or brown eyeliner :)
I just started using Proactiv, it works great! B4 that I used Clinique facial products they were great 2. For makeup I absolutely love MAC, the tones work so well and they have the best eye shadows!
Philosophy for skin care. Bare Escentuals for make up. I swear by them and have great skin and compliments to show for it!

Oil of Olay pink beauty lotion
Makeup as in foundation? I use Cover Girl Smoothers Tinted Moisturizer.
As for other things, I like Cover Girl, Maybelline or even Revlon and L'oreal.
Moisturizer: Lancome Plateneum calcium enriched moisturizer (I received a 'decent sized' sample from Bloomingdales and I'm still using it..) This stuff is pricey so I don't know if I'll be buying it.
And Body time chamomile and lavender day cream.
Cleanser: I like both N.V Perricone olive oil cleanser and Body time cream cleanser.
Makeup: I love Lancome defincils mascara (I don't use this often..) and I use Mac lipstick in Verushka (a discontinued color! Damn!) you can still find Verushka at some online beauty stores such as strawberrynet.com.
I use oil of olay face wash and moisturizer.
As for make up, I use Cover Girl
I don't wear make up.
I use noxema everyday in the shower %26amp; dove facial lotion when I'm done
I am 35 and everyone says I look younger than that. AND I use a tanning bed atleast once a week.
clean and clear foaming cleanser (i use sensitive skin, you don't have to) ponds with cucumber, and as far as make up you can use bare minerals (they carry it at like ulta or sephora) or the maybelline pure make up (it has water intead of oils)
you don't have to coat your entire face in make up either
the foaming cleanser gets all the oils and make up off your skin, so use that at night.
the ponds hydrates, but remember, less is more
hope this helps!

Moisturizer i would say any St. Ives products because it doesnt make my skin look oily. Make up would be Bare Minerals. It's a little expensive but well worth it. You can't buy it in stores but they do have a web site.

Do I need to use a make up remover prior to my face cleanser?
I use a face cleanser every night that helps me control my acne (followed by toner, moisturizer, etc). I've been wearing a lot of make up lately and wondering if I need to or should use a make up remover cloth (or something else) to remove the make up before washing my face with the cleanser...or perhaps that's redundant since the cleanser is supposed to, well, cleanse? Thoughts?Do I need to use a make up remover prior to my face cleanser?
For your face, no.
For you eyes, Yes, and one specifically for eye make up removal.
Avon's eye make-up remover is only $1.99.
PK
http://www.youravon.com/kingrahamDo I need to use a make up remover prior to my face cleanser?
the less chemicals you use the better. They have makeup now that is for acne prone skin. Though most girls use wash cloths no remove makeup also- i dint recommend it... it irritated the skin and can cause the chemicals to go deeper into the skin
If you wear a lot of eye make up, you should probably use make-up remover because it may be hard to wash with a cleanser around your eyes. It may irritate, also
Yeah, mascara is a *****.
Yes, you certainly need a facial cleanser. I usually do the following steps and it works well with me:-
1- Rub face with cold water.
2- use a facial cleanser ( I use Neutrogena).
3- I use Neutrogena's exfoliating cleanser (3 times a week).
5- Apply Toner followed by Moisturizer.(I usually use Clarins).
Make-Up remover is best for the more stubborn make=up (eyeliner, mascara, lipstick). However, a good gentle cleanser appropriate for your skin should always be used afterwards to clean the residue, oils, dead skin cells et al.
yes you need to before cleansing. read tips on skincare and more to help you on this site
I think it is better to use makeup remover before cleansing with cleanser. Otherwise if you could not remove makeup completely, acne and pore blockages may occur.
I suggest you do exactly what you are doing now but use a makeup remover with less alcohol base and a chemical free cleanser.its less harsh on your skin
better if you use face cleanser. In fact, when i used to be in theatre, i used pond's cold cream... and then face cleanser, and then toner. Redundancy is always good to make your face looking fresh all the time. mmmuah!
Use Maybellin's express finish make up romover for face and eyes.its 100% oil free and does not give a burning sensation at all.I 've been using it for 2 yrs alomost and its gr8.it just costs Rs.69.
And yes first you shud remove your make up witha make up remover, then you shud wash you r face with water and apply a good toner.
For your face, no.
For you eyes, Yes, and one specifically for eye make up removal.
Avon's eye make-up remover is only $1.99.

http://www.youravon.com/kingrahamDo I need to use a make up remover prior to my face cleanser?
the less chemicals you use the better.

When u go to the tanning bed should u wear make up on your face or no make up?
A lot of makeup-particularly foundation-has an SPF content, so wearing makeup would be counterproductive. Besides that, you'll be inside a little capsule, so very few people will see you, except to and from. Probably best not to bother with it.When u go to the tanning bed should u wear make up on your face or no make up?
none...if you want your face tannedWhen u go to the tanning bed should u wear make up on your face or no make up?
no or ur face wont get tan but i would put a 4spf lotion becasue that is usually the easiest place to burn for ur first couple times and after u have been going for a while put on regular tanning lotion :D
I say that if you happen to have a little mascara on or eyeliner etc... That's no problem. Because you probably wear those goggles right. But as for the rest of the face. It should be clean. Heat plus makeup = clogged pores. You want to prevent any pimple outbreaks. I'm assuming.
I wouldn't even go to a tanning bed in the first place.
It RUINS your skin.
you shouldnt wear foundation or any product on your face that has spf in it if you want your face to get tan. if you refuse to go to the tanning salon without makeup, bring face wipes with you to wipe if off before laying on the bed, and reapply when u get out if you want lol. ponds face wipes are greeeaattt
No makeup! Tanning is bad for your skin as it is. If you have makeup on, it'll clog your pores and make your skin yucky.

What Can I Do To Prevent My Make Up From Aging My Face?
Do not suggest wearing less or wearing none at all. kthanks. What Can I Do To Prevent My Make Up From Aging My Face?
1] clean it all off thoroughly every night
2] use facewash, toner, moisturizer, and sunscreen for your skin type
3] use any name brand, drugstore or department store brand [ don't use no-names ] that is non-comedogenic - doesn't cause zits.
If you do all this, your skin will be fine - makeup by itself will not age your skin. What Can I Do To Prevent My Make Up From Aging My Face?
Who told you that it would age your face? Ha! I'll bet it was your mother. She thinks you wear too much and you look chippy. Well, rest easy, make up does not age your face. It was just a lie told to you by either someone ignorant or someone who is trying to get you to do something, like not wear so much. If you are unconvinced, then switch to neutrogena and spend more money on it as well because it costs a bit more.
If you want to avoid aging your face, put on a good sunscreen before you go out or avoid the sun. Most aging, as far as skin is concerned, is due to exposure to ultraviolet rays.
Use the healthy type of make up. Clinique, Sheer Cover, Bare Minerals, Shiseido, etc. Make sure you wash your face with a cleanser every night to wash away the make up. But I've heard that Bare Minerals is so light that you can sleep with it. All these brands better your skin, but they are quite pricey. Good luck!
yes i can help you don't put make up on when not necceary and always clean your face before going to bed
Make sure you wash your makeup off every night. Wash your face with a good cleanser in the morning and at night. You could use a toner to remove excess oil and cleanser from your face. Use a good moisturizer (during the day, one with an spf 15 or more would be good). The sun will age your face more than makeup. Neutrogena has a good line that is light, gently and hypo-allergenic.
it depends on what brand you use. but most of them won't, um just make sure to wash it off everynight b4 u go to bed because leaving it on ages ur face 7 weeks. my mary-kay lady told me all this. :) hope this helps u
You should wash youre face to remove the makeup and then wash youre face with a cleanser!
Mary Kay has facial cleanser and moisturizer called Time Wise. It's designed to prevent and minimize wrinkles. Use it twice a day before and after you put your makeup on. You can get it at http://www.marykay.com/micheleleahjones

Green eyes, pale skin, brown/red hair, oval shaped face... make-up ideas?
i'm going make-up shopping and i need something that ';enhances my features';, and it has to be something ';fresh'; that i can wear to achurch gathering.... otherwise i'd just go with my normal winged eyeliner and some bright pigment.
please include:
eyeliner
eyeshadow
blush
foundation [brands. im palest porcelin]
lip gloss
lip stick
mascera
and other things too...
my features:
green eyes
super pale skin
no freckles
very little acne
choppy/layered brown/red hair
my nose is tiny bit long
oval face
slightly pronounced cheekbonesGreen eyes, pale skin, brown/red hair, oval shaped face... make-up ideas?
Girl...i wish i could go shopping with you! I have dark hair, very fair skin and green eyes!
This is funny i work at my church. Anyways the first key is finding a good foundation and powder that will match your skin tone nicely. I would go with some form of mineral make up/ or organic make up. Don't use chemical make up...it will destroy your skin and plus your skin absorbs up to five pounds of make a year sooo you don't want to get that into your blood stream. A high end foundation and powder that i LOVE is Jane Iredale. It's expensive though! For a way cheaper brand but works very nicely is Physician's Formula Mineral Wear. I just heard Physician's Formula is coming out with an Organic line, (i am so going to try).
Don't forget to either get a light bronzer/or blush. This will add some color and depth to your skin tone. I actually use both. Also don't just add color to your cheeks, but also to the noes, neck, chin, and forehead.
Ok eyes....i would use black eyeliner lightly around your eyes. Give it a nice smudge look with a q-tip, so it makes your eyes pop. As for eyeshadow, really depends what you are wearing. Sheer colors with glittler always pretty and nice. Purples make green eyes pop. Oh and you must have black mascara. I use No Miss Black Mascara, it's all natural and helps your lashs grow longer and stronger (which it really does)
I personlly perfer lip gloss over lipstick. Get something with not to much color and that has some shine and sparkle.
I hope this helps! Blessings!!Green eyes, pale skin, brown/red hair, oval shaped face... make-up ideas?
Ok .... well I favour Max Factor foundation .. they do a lot of different shades and types!
I also have green eyes and I wear plums / browns or greens all of which seem to enhance and bring out the colour in my eyes.
Go for a brown eyeliner - its softer
Use a light blush, some of the cream ones are very good, go for a peachy tone.
Either highlight your eyes or lips, as you have green eyes I would say go for that so then I would keep lipstick and gloss to a minimum, say a slightly coloured or even plain gloss.
I use Maybeline mascara .... I wear Blackest Black, but if you want a softer look go for Brown. It doesnt clump and makes lashes look longer and thicker
Hope that helps!
The best foundation, by far (especially if your skin is pretty clear overall), is the Bare Escentuals line. (I never wear foundation, but I was looking for something easy with good coverage and I found this- it's SO great! (But I like it best for foundation- the other colors are a little blah.)
For eyes- it's Clinique. The best eyeliner is Clinique's cream liner in black honey. (It's a great color, a little more interesting than brown, but not as dramatic as black.) With Clinique's very natural Naturally Glossy mascara. As far as shadows, I LOVE Clinique for ';daytime looks';- they have tons of great colors.
Actually, the Black Honey color is great for the Almost Lipstick and gloss also. It's very natural and neutral.
I agree that the Sexy Mother Pucker lipgloss is a nice, easy natural look- go for the shade ';nude';- it tastes/smells like chocolate and tingles. I always have it in my purse with me.
As far as blush- I'm not much help. I don't wear much, and when I do, I will often just smudge my lipcolor across my cheeks. (I've done that on my eyes also, when I'm really lazy.)
use silvery or pink eyeshadow, i dont like eyeliner but if you have to use pencil eyeliner all by , use juicy tubes ultra shimmer lopgloss,a shimmery brown lipstick, deep brown and pink blush. you can find these all at sephora or any big department store such as macys.
eyeliner: keep brown use a shimmery one... looks really pretty
eyeshadow: purple... it makes the green eyes stand out!
blush: light natural pink
foundation: fair, bare minerals (it's their lightest color)
lipgloss: clear or pink
lipstick: ???
mascara: do dark black to mix with the purple shadow and brown eyeliner... maybe curl your lashes to make the eyes really pop!
girl this is where you meet M.A.C.
-try to bronze your skin a little not too much that u look orange but just enough to make the pale-ness go away.
-use gold-earth tones on/around your eyes.that will make them stand out.

-but most of all go to the nearest mall where theres a macy's and visit the M.A.C. boutique!! they make magic happen.. trust me...%26lt;3

I know you're looking for more detail than this, but I would suggest on the eyeshadow to go with green. They say that's ';in'; this season and plus, I have green eyes and brown hair and I wear green eyeshadow and brown eyeliner. It brings out my eyes more than going without or with neutral eyeshadow.

Which type of sunblock or sunscreen can I use of my face before applying make-up foundation?
An oil free one. I use neutrogena oil free spf 30. You may also try using an oil free moisturizer with sunscreen like aveeno. Make sure you wait about 2-5 min before applying your makeup to make sure that all the sunscreen is absorbed by your skin. A foundation with an SPF isnt a bad idea to add as well. MAC, loreal HIP, and revlon are a few manufactures that make an oil free liquid with SPF.Which type of sunblock or sunscreen can I use of my face before applying make-up foundation?

Cetaphil Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15 i use it every day
I like loreal w/ spf 15 for winter and oil of olay spf 30 for summer......they both work very well.......i also use sonia kashuk tinted moisturizer w/ spf 15 for a more natural look.
Many foundations have sunblock in them. Just read the labels.
Use Mary Kay Day Solution it has a SPF 25 in it, I have that in my inventory, as well as a moisturizer with an SPF 15 in it too. It is formulated to work with your foundation to protect your skin. just use anything oil free and up to a 45 spf....i like neutrogena because it is oil free and smells good..
I actually use Oil of Olay face moisturizing lotion with sunblock (15) and my foundation also has a sunblock.
I use Clinique Superdefense moisturizer... it has SPF 25 in it and it's light and non-greasy, yet very hydrating.
I also think you should try Mary Kay's Day Solution w/SPF 25.

Ask your local Mary Kay lady. I think their foundations are spf 15. I could be wrong. I don't wear make-up.
neutrogena makes a great face lotion with spf thats what I love anyways works real well and is not oily, but there is make-up out there with spf if you dont want to mess with a face lotion.
Many facial moisturizers contain SPF. A pretty cheap one from the drugstore is Purpose.
You can use Arbonne's save face and body sunscreen. Use this ultra moisturizing sunscreen with SPF 15 alone or under makeup, to aid in the prevention of harmful sunburns. Formulated with botanicals and Parsol庐 1789, a highly effective UVA absorber, daily use of Save Face %26amp; Body helps protect against sun-damaged skin. You could also use About Face Luminous Colour Wand SPF 8, About Face Line Defiance Makeup SPF 8, About Face Mineral Powder Foundation SPF 15
Personally I work in a store with lots of spot lights and I protect my skin i usually use the last 2 foundations and the save face when we go out to the sun..... But love all their products.... And always remember to use SPF no greater than 30, the higher one contain too many chemicals which could be harmful to your skins health and irritate it
One thats not oily
an oil free one will surely help... when u go to mall.. ask them for free :';_

HI , Girls and Guys , Plz tell me how can i cover scars on my face by make up?
Plz tell me the steps , i hope that specially girls can help me.hope good responseHI , Girls and Guys , Plz tell me how can i cover scars on my face by make up?
either M.A.C. or CargoHI , Girls and Guys , Plz tell me how can i cover scars on my face by make up?
It depends on what color your scaring is. I don't think that putting on really thick concealer is the best way to cover things up on your face because too much product will look unnatural.
First, I would apply my foundation as usual. Then I would use a color correcter in the shade opposite to the scar I'm trying to conceal. For example, if my scar was red, I'd conceal with green or if my scar was brown I'd conceal with pink. Then I would put a light layer of concealer on top of that. Then I would set everything with a loose powder.
Many thin layers of the proper product will look better than concealer that is packed on over a scar.
Hope that helps!
Try DermaBlend products. They were created by a doctor specifically for covering facial scars. You can buy them online and in some stores too. I use the stick concealer as an everyday concealer for blemishes, and it works really well and never smears or wipes off. Here is the link.
http://www.dermablend.com/
If you would like to try mineral products, Jane Iredale is a brand that is also recommended by doctors, and it's often used by patients who are recovering from facial surgery to cover scarring and redness. Here is the link.

concealer is a great way to cover scars. you put it on underneath a liquid or powder foundation but i think personally it works better under the powder. good luck.
Please try Bare Essencitals ... It really is that good.. It is a mineral foundation and does great for a lot of us to cover up....
Oh you have to buy HEAVY DUTY CONCEALER, really strong kinds and you can cover scars in no time.
Dab on some conceler and then put on some mineral powder that matches your skin tone n____n my mom use to do that xD
use a cream stick concealer that's 3 times lighter than your shade and then cover it with some loose powder
either M.A.C. or CargoHI , Girls and Guys , Plz tell me how can i cover scars on my face by make up?

How can you make your face look really pretty (using make-up techniques/secrets)?
any tips/techniques for eyes, lips, foundation or all over face tips! How can you make your face look really pretty (using make-up techniques/secrets)?
for eyes---
use your eyeliner pencil [black] to line the bottom of your eyes (you will need to use your finger to pull the bottom of your eye down and use the pencil on the inner bottom part, not below your eyelashes, this makes it look too thick) next, use the same pencil [make sure it is sharpened] and make a thin line really close to your eyelashes on the top, make it just a little bit thicker on the outer edges. after doing that, take your finger and rub where you just applied the eyeliner and smudge it just a little bit. on the top of your brow bone, just below your eyebrows, apply a light, semi-shimmery eyeshadow. on the rest of your eye, apply the color of eyeshadow of your choice [i always use brown].. in the crease, use a darker shade of the same color you just used and this will make your eyes [as they say...] ';pop';. next, use a eyelash curler and then apply 2 coats of mascara to the top lashes and 1 coat to the bottom lashes.
for lips--- for going out - a couple months ago i bought some lip-plumper/lip gloss at the dept. store. it costs about $5 and looks great, i LOVE it. if im just going to work or whatever, i just use a mosturizing lip balm, it looks natural and makes your lips look better.
as far as foundation goes, of course find something that matches your skin tone. i apply my foundation, and then a little bit of loose powder on top to help hold the foundation in place. you can also use shimmery bronzers on your cheek bones which looks great! but dont overdo it of course. How can you make your face look really pretty (using make-up techniques/secrets)?

For being pretty, my advice better than make up techniques do proper exercises and keep a good diet. One more thing is to be happy always, for that you should be child of God.
If you are a peaceful man your face also will be pretty.
You can't if you don't have a pretty facr to begin with.
Makeup doesn't cure ugliness if that's what you're asking.
I am in love with that Bare Essentials stuff. It's expensive ($60.00 for the starter kit) so I haven't bought any yet. My gf did a make-over for me and used her kit. It just makes your face look all dewy and fresh and it lasts all night without touch ups. I'm getting some as soon as I can afford it!
Less is more, usually. Use a colour that really stands out on your eyes, that matches your outfit or something but only put a small line across the top of your eye. Fill the rest with a lighter shade (close to your skin tone) and then let mascara do the rest.
Use minimal all over face make up cos unless you are planning to touch it up all night it tends to smear off, go greasy or get streaks. Try some tinted moisturiser instead of foundation because its a lot lighter. Then use a small amount of blusher similar to your skin tone across your cheek bones and get some highlighter to put an even smaller amount over that.
Natural lip colour too - or just lip gloss.
Foundation :
. Apply foundation to your cheeks, forehead, and chin using a foundation brush, sponge, or clean fingertips. Blend the foundation all the way to your natural hairline with long, light strokes.
2. Continue blending over the jawline and onto your neck to achieve a natural, seamless look. Check your face and neck in natural light to make sure the foundation is completely blended in all areas.
3. If under-eye circles or red spots remain, do not add more foundation; it can look heavy and cakey
Blusher:
1. Tap or lightly blow on the applicator brush to remove any excess blush before applying to prevent a harsh and uneven application.
2. Apply your blush on the apple of the cheek and carefully blend towards your natural hairline.
3. If you have two shades, apply the darker one on the apple of the cheek first, then use the lighter shade to highlight. Blend well so there is no visible line between colors.
4. Highlight your temples, forehead and chin.
Eyeliner:
Tip: For a natural-looking eyeliner and the illusion of lusher, fuller lashes, use a dark brown eye pencil and carefully press a series
of dots between your lashes following your lash line.
Tip: For the sophisticated look, draw a smooth fine line alone the top lashes.
Tip: To create the dramatic look, draw a line inside your lash line (as close to the lashes as possible), then along the top of the lash line
Accentuate your eyes.. But if they're c0ck eyed, accentuate your lips.. Wax your moustache..
just go back to the face store and buy a prettier face. hahaha

Can I Get permanent make-up foundation on my face?
I am a dark skin complexion and I love it! But one thing I hate is that I amd 2 toned. I use fashion fare cosmetics and I want to know is there a program that I can get permanent make-up foundation applied to my face. You know how people get peremanent eyeliner, eyebrows, and lip liner applied to their face? I wanted to know is it a system where I can get permanent foundation applied to my face. Serious answers only please! Can I Get permanent make-up foundation on my face?
u can get permanent makeup although it doesn't last that long costs alot and you would have to get it redone every few weeks. however if u are that conserned about having 2 toned skin, maybe see a dermotologist or there are products out there that help even out and correct skin tones maybe try some. go to your closest cosmetic shop. make sure its a proper shop that only sells good cosmetics-might cost a bit. and get tone correcting serums. they correct blotchy skin tones. There are some creams that also bleach the skin making it lighter and some that make it darker. also try sea weed scrubs and creamsCan I Get permanent make-up foundation on my face?
Well yes there is permanent make up you can get make up but its tattooed on your face.. but it actually looks nice depending on where and who you get it done from.. you can get everything done.. you should look into it
There is but i reccomened getting semi-permanent make-up incase if you change your mind later
Tattoo the make up on.
Sorry.
They don't make absolutely permanent.

I'm going to stop wearing any face make up whatsoever, will this greatly improve my skin?
I have skin imperfections of course. I have black heads and white heads, oily skin, and the occasional pimples. I've always worn some matte concealer over any imperfections and topped it with powder and blush.
By the end of the day, my skin is extra oily because of all the face makeup. Then, sometimes, I forget to wash it off at night and have to wash it off in the morning, which I know is very bad for my skin.
So my question is, will not wearing any face makeup at all greatly improve my skin after a while? I'm just going to wash it once in the morning and once at night, with no makeup on it inbetween.
The reason I'm asking is because if this won't lead to much improvement, I'd rather just keep wearing the makeup to make my skin appear better atleast.
Thanks in advance!I'm going to stop wearing any face make up whatsoever, will this greatly improve my skin?
Up untill 3 months ago i had the same problem and yes i also went on a makeup free challenge before that. Unfortunatley it didn't make much of a difference for me, if any. What did improve my skin was the fact that i started taking 950mg of Omega 3 (gel capsules) and prenatal vitamins everyday. Its been 2 months now and my skin looks better than ever. And i have been wearing makeup all along.
So, no makeup thing didnt help me much at all, but who know maybe it'l work for you.
But if you want to improve your skin for sure, than i highly suggest multivitamins and Omega 3 Fish Oil.
Good luckI'm going to stop wearing any face make up whatsoever, will this greatly improve my skin?
Honestly, if you wash your face every morning and every night, wearing makeup will not affect your skin. You have to be vigilant about caring for it though, you can NOT afford to forget to wash it off. Usually I feel totally gross after an entire day, and if I don't wash my face, no matter how tired I am, I feel ten times grosser. As long as you properly care for your skin, it doesn't matter what kind of makeup you use.
I don't think you'll see any dramatic improvement. My skin didn't get noticeably worse when I started wearing make up, and isn't any less oily when I go without now. But if you think it will help, there's no harm in laying off the make up for a few weeks. If nothing changes you can always start wearing it again.
i used to wear foundation all the time.. cuz i had acne.
foundation didnt help my acne. it ended up making it worse cuz i forgot to wash it off sometimes.
it even made my face dry.
i stopped wearing foundation
i didnt use any acne treatment.. just washed my face every day with warm water.
now i just put moisturizer on and mascara..
i have had 2 zits in the past 2 years!!!!!
(and that i believe is only cuz im in sports and sweat.
Yes. It will help a lot. But if you ever do go back to use face make up use aomething with minerals! They dont clog your pores and will be so much better for your skin. My concealer, foundation, blush, and bronzer are all minerals. My complexion is basically flawless! Try it!
Good Luck!
it will definantly help have your skin be less oily, and for you black heads and white heads, try deep cleansing, and clean you face daily with sope, and yes your skin will greatly improve=)

GUYS: Do you mind when girls wear face make-up?
Okay! So my face is a little lighter than my body and has some freckles/sunspots, so I put on foundation and stuff. Personally, I think it really looks amazing. It's incredible what make-up can do; my complexion just all comes together and looks the exact same color as my body. People tell me I'm gorgeous and I feel it and I have confidence! I'm single but still a teenager and haven't had a boyfriend for awhile, but when I do end up getting one, I want my boyfriend to love me for me and not mind it. I just have the oppurtunity to look great instead of just good, you know? So I take advantage of it. I remind myself that everyone in Hollywood does and it's totally normal there, haha but actually no everyone there is messed up so nevermind! But idk, do guys just not understand that? And please, please, don't comment and be like ';that's probably why you dont have a boyfriend because you think youre sooo pretty,'; because thats not at all right and not what im going for here! Anyways, thanks everyone...so much!GUYS: Do you mind when girls wear face make-up?
Hi,
I'm not a guy but I see no problem in wearing foundation. You seem like a very confident girl and that is good. I just think it's gross when girls wear a ton of foundation, and you can tell. The worst is when girls have that a line along their jawline that they forgot to blend in or something, haha, ew.. ! I personally don't wear foundation at all, but my skin tone is very even.
Anyway, I think freckles are cute! so maybe you can go some days without makeup! I think the natural look is so gorgeous! :)GUYS: Do you mind when girls wear face make-up?
Not at all just dont over to it to thr=e point its obvious you have allot on. Another tip for picking up guys dont make drama(dont make everything a big deal) dont be bitchy ever and no matter how much you like him dont constantly text him give him his space and dont smuther him the last thing a dude wants is a cling on be cool and flirtty and have him wanting you just bait them it
It's all personal preference!!! I tend to favor natural beauty, but not everyone does.
To be honest, make-up is kind of annoying. Half the time, it looks too fake.
I wish women really wouldn't wear make-up. It's superfluous.
It doesnt matter as long as they look pretty

What is it in mineral make-up that makes my face itch?
i threw it away b/c of it. what a waste of money. What is it in mineral make-up that makes my face itch?
its something called bismuth that is an irritant to skin. avid bare minerals fans have said its the brush hair you may be allergic to..which could be true. but bare minerals or bare escentuals..those mineralize foundations have bismuth which is a proven skin irritant. ive heard lots of stories of girls who use it for a year and suddenly break out like crazy. this girl with a makeup blog i can't rem her name right now was sayng how she had no acne problems until using bare minerals for like a year and she started breaking out at 22 for the first time.
try mineralize skin finish from MAC, maybe that'll be better for you and its still kinda keeping in the mineral fam i guess. i use it..and have used it almost a year or so and i love it, have had no problems with my skin with it (and i have acne prone skin). What is it in mineral make-up that makes my face itch?
I brought the same makeup and it did the same thing to me. I found if you use a good moisturizers on your face before using the powder it will not itch. I wish you did not through out your makeup because it is really good makeup. I have found that Walmarts has mineral makeup to. It is just as good.
You are probably allergic to one of the ingredients.
When purchasing a a cosmetic esp for face, test it first on ur arm and there is no reaction, you can safely buy it !

Anyone know any LONG lasting waterproof mascara & face make up that doesn't clog your pores? Please say yes!
I'm going camping with a bunch of 14-18-year-old youth this Summer for 3 days, and since I'll be in the complete wilderness, that means no showers, or face washing... and certainly no reapplying of make up. So I need suggestions, and I'd be especially glad to get a recommendation from someone who's actually tried the product they're recommending..
Also, please note that by asking this question I'm not looking for answers such as, ';Oh, quit being so self conscious and don't wear make up!'; ';Just go and enjoy yourself!'; Because those aren't the answers I need; I'm looking for product recommendations.Anyone know any LONG lasting waterproof mascara %26amp; face make up that doesn't clog your pores? Please say yes!
I definitely understand your situation and would never say ';quit being so self-conscious,'; but in all honestly, I think that it isn't going to be good for your skin and lashes no matter what to wear the same makeup for three days and never wash your face! If you go 3 days with water-proof mascara on, I'm pretty sure it'll be all clumped up and make your eyes irritated and red. As for your face makeup, you'd really have to cake it on during Day 1 to make it last through sweating and heat for three days.
Honestly, I think the best idea is to get some tinted face lotion. Wash/rinse your face at night (you'll have access to SOME water, I'm sure). In the mornings and maybe a few times during the day, apply this tinted lotion. It won't be caked on, which will look natural in the wilderness (after all, it might look weird to be in tons of makeup in the middle of no-where!). Also, it won't clog your pores, and if you get stuff with an SPF, it'll protect you from sunburn. I suggest Neutrogena face lotion -- they have a tinted version I like. You won't need a mirror to apply this, so it's ideal.
If you must, bring some mascara that rinses off easily and reapply it every morning. I think that'll be better than keeping in on for three days. If possible, I suggest going without and sticking with the lotion to even skin tone and cover minor blemishes. Good luck, and have fun!Anyone know any LONG lasting waterproof mascara %26amp; face make up that doesn't clog your pores? Please say yes!
Yes, quit being so self conscious and don't wear make up.
If you must be all sad like that.. just use Maybelline or whatever. Any of those waterproof mascara lasts long. Not sure how long. They're all the same.
But eventually, your eyelashes will clump, maybe fall out, and if you're gonna be sweating, there is a chance it could come out and run into your eyes causing blindness.
There's no point in wearing foundation or whatever because that's just gonna come off.
Good luck with that.
psh.
i use make up like MAC and Nars, but love good old drugstore mascara...like maybelline volum express. its waterproof and i use it on a daily basis, and i'm outdoors alot. its defintely my favorite. also, face make up that doesnt clog pores...i always used MAC studio fix, but thats very heavy in talc and clogs pores, and just recently switched to bare minerals, but i will tell you thats not very long lasting thru out the day unfortunately.
for face makeup check out everydayminerals.com
their makeup is relatively affordable and doesnt contain any harmful ingredients ( same as bare minerals ), if you dont want to spend money on foundation online, they have a free sample kit and you get 3 sample foundations- the best part is if you dont get the perfect shade of foundation, you can mix it with the other samples you got, 1 blush, and concealer for free, all you pay is shipping ( i think 4 dollars for standard)
Yes, I do and they are Waterproof!

There is a new Maybaline product called Maybelline Mineral Power and it works great! Get the powder form
I love it!
It stays on your face all day and doesnt make you break out or clog pores.
yes! i have good mascara. try it. its not completely waterproof, like you cant go in the pool. but you only use water to remove it. so you can just wipe it off and it doesnt leak. it comes off in little strands ha. its really good stuff. no clumps.
chekc it out.

Yes, I do and they are Waterproof!

diorshow waterproof mascara from sephora
rather than a foundation, why don't you try a tinted moisturizer?
There is a new Maybaline product called Maybelline Mineral Power and it works great! Get the powder form
I love it!
It stays on your face all day and doesnt make you break out or clog pores.
yes! i have good mascara. try it. its not completely waterproof, like you cant go in the pool. but you only use water to remove it. so you can just wipe it off and it doesnt leak. it comes off in little strands ha. its really good stuff. no clumps.
chekc it out.

How to make your face look flawless with this make up?
concealer
fioundation
powder
all my colour skin tone but wenever i try and use it i make my face look red because its been rubbed or realy orange.
Normaly i put foundation all over my face but that makes me look orange. Or sometimes just were its needed but that makes me look red.
What should i doHow to make your face look flawless with this make up?
if foundation makes your skin look orange your obv not using the right colour if you dont already do that thing where you put a line of foundation on ur jaw and into ur neck and which ever colour faces into ur skintone u need. orr go to a makeup shop and ask one of the specialists to help you choose. uts up to you weather u put on foundation all over or just on youjr bad areas i use it all over, the reason ur face is going red is probs because ur using your fingers?? try using a sponge or a foundation brush should go on fine, then put some powder over the foundation not too much though, and then whatever else :) like bronzer or blusher....ur face should look ';flawless'; (or close to it) with a good foundation and sponge/brush..dont use your fingers. a really good foundation is mac soooo goodHow to make your face look flawless with this make up?
If its coming out orange I think the probable cause is that the products you have are a little bit too dark for your skin...its easy to make the mistake of getting the wrong shade as most of us test the shade on the back of our hands in the shop, which isn't usually the same colour as your face (to test this, stand in front of a mirror and put the back of your hand next to your face, you will see what I mean)...I would suggest that you try a lighter shade of product, and don't be afraid to ask the assistants in the shops for advice, I know they can look a bit intimidating as they always look so gorgeous, but they have got that way using the cosmetics so really do know their stuff!
i think you need to change your foundation.
pop along to your nearest department store and ask them to help you find one that matches your skin tone.
i have to have one from elizabeth arden as i need one with a peach undertone.
when you apply your foundation you should use a brush, dont use your fingers or a sponge, the brush works best.
mix a small amount of concealer with your foundation and apply that with a brush as well.
hope that helps, just keep practising and dont be too heavy handed with your skin x
Make sure you have the right colour foundation
You dont want your face colour different from your neck
If you have liquid foundation then gently apply it with a make up sponge
Apply foundation first and slightly around the neck area
Put powder where youve put your foundation
and concealer if theres any places on your face when theres dark spaces
but dont put alot
Apply the foundation with a brush, then the skin doesn't get red from rubbing it in. Also try mixing the foundation with a bit of moisturiser, that way it keeps your skin soft and not to orange!
mix foundation with some moisturiser that will stop it going red or orange on your skin,
apply concealer very very lightly, followed by the foundation mix followed by a very light dusting of powder.
Throw that all away and get foundation that turns to powder. It works wonders, but get a pale colour.

What sort of tools and make up styles would you have to use to mimick Heath Ledger's Joker face make up?
I love playing around with face paints and theatrical make up, my poor brothers are my canvases, but they don't seem to mind.
As we all now, The Dark Knight really hit it off, and I have a group friends asking me if I鈥檒l do their make up for Halloween, and they all want to be the Joker, like a mob of matching clowns lol. Now, I can do a basic match up, but it just isn鈥檛 good enough for me鈥?not dark (in a moody sense) enough. I am having trouble catching the streaking and twisted dark look of a maniac without completely destroying the entire job. I have until October to get it down before I disappoint my friends. Do you have any suggestions on how to improve my streaking and application? should I use oils? Water? Any type of particular tool? Any suggestions on a good make up brand? all you have to do is go down to a military surplus store and find the white face paint OR go to a party store and find the white paint their then go to a dollar store or walmart and find black eye liner just something cheap nothing expensive and then pick up some red lipstick also
for the scars you could get them at the party store also :D

I think the joker has wrinkles too. That's what might be missing.

How does make up harm your face?
Make up clogs your pores and make your face break out .How does make up harm your face?
Well you have pores, thats what zits ';grow'; in. Here it is in theory...
Pores are like buckets, and if you put water in them (makeup) they are filled up. Are can't get in the bucket to keep it clean. If you leave the water in the bucket and set it outside, stuff can grow in it.
Make sense?
Make up is dirt in your pores that clogs them. How does make up harm your face?
To tell you the truth, it really doesn't if you remove it before you go to sleep. People have said that it makes you breakout, but how can that be if you use oil-free cosmetics? People have said that it causes wrinkles, but that doesn't make any sense. You really just have to make sure you are using oil-free cosmetics %26amp; that you remove it before you go to bed.
It can clog your pores, and if you wear it a lot, it can build up. Also, if you wipe too vigorously when applying/removing it, you can stretch you skin, esp around your eyes, and cause wrinkles.
it depends if you have dry skin it will peel your dead skin if you dont wash it if you have oily skin it will be all shiny also it clogs pores and you will break out and if you dont take off before you go to sleep it will look very ugly in the morning
It doesn't harm your face unless you are oil based products and you have oily skin.
It's just matching the right type or produts to your skin type.
The important part is to wash it off completely at the end of the day, never go to sleep with it on or it will lead to blockage of the pores.
It won't cause wrinkles only exsentuate them depending on what type of make you are using.
Wrinkles are caused by everyday movement of your facial muscles and sun/ pollution damage.
It clogs up ur pores and yeah.

If people are a product of nature/god's creation, why not live as nature/god wanted? why put face make up?
no offence intended, but i do think make up is for the ugly and those who are not secure with thier look.
i know this is my first controversial question and willing take it on the chin as i want to learn from the answer. If people are a product of nature/god's creation, why not live as nature/god wanted? why put face make up?
No I think it's alright of you to ask, I only wear make up when I want to cover up a spot or something! Not because I think I'm a stunner or anything, it's mostly because I'm just, you know, whats the point? If make up wins the guy then think of what they'll say when they see you in the morning with the panda eyes! Besides, I got my guy and he thinks the same way as you.If people are a product of nature/god's creation, why not live as nature/god wanted? why put face make up?
Why can people not live as they want, instead of some fake contrived way. That fits in with somebody elses opinion.
However good a girl looks naturally, she almost always looks better with the right makeup.
If I go out with makeup, people pay me more compliments. I have some naturally beautiful friends, but they look stunning with makeup.
Why wouldn't we want to look as good as possible?
So you also think women shouldn't shave? Our leg and armpit hair is as natural as yours!
Anyway I don't think God really gives a s**t.
both my partner and i are Naturists, so we do live like nature intended, no tan lines
I feel like you are very narrow minded. I am definitely not ugly! Not blowing my own trumpet or anything but i can walk down the street - with no make up and the majority of men will stare or make comments (positive ones obviously). I wear make up? Whats wrong with that, it has got sod all to do with GOD what i put on my face its about making ME feel better. I bet you are ugly!!! and probably a bible basher that explains it all!!!
its a question that goes back thousands of years.womans role at one time was to find a partner and concieve, hence, the need to attract a mate.it made them prettier.its an historic piece of nature that was never dropped.
Very good question my friend because there are members of many Christian religion that are not following the teachings of God in the Bible, more so on the Roman Catholic Church.
For women in a true Christian religion, the prohibitions of God are the following:
Cutting of their hair . wearing pants for men, showing their bobs, dresssing on a seductive way, wearing pants and short pants intended for men changing their eyebrows, painting their faces, doing adulterous acts and many others
jtm
i am for one, a naturist who doesnt put on face make-up(at least not yet).. i've asked the same question to some one else and they came up with a practical answer.. she said she has to put on make up to look more presentable (is is supposedly a known fact dat make up enhances one's features).. she also told me that from personal experiences.. clients who come to her company are more comfortable in dealing with well groomed people rather than the rest.
so basically wearing make up tends to mean that u r careful bout the image u tend to portray.. which isn't a bad thing..
Because Nature led us to evolve / God gave us free will. Makind has changed throughout the years, advanceing it's society and technology. Whereas a peacock shows it's feathers when it's trying to attract a mate, mankind uses other methods to stand out from a crowd, as well as emphasise attractive attributes in itself. This happens in all cultures and walks of life, from the example given of wearing make-up, to various tattoos or body peircings used by various tribes around the world. It's not really in oppostition to nature - it's nature that evolved us this way, just like the aforementioned peacock, or the penguins finding pebbles for their mate.

How do i find out wich make-up works best on my face?
What i mean is i don't want to buy the wrong kind of make-up and waste my money. Is there a website or somehthing? How do i find out wich make-up works best on my face?
CVS allows you to buy makeup and return it if it isn't the right color or what you want. It can only be a little used and you must have a receipt. I did that for a while until I found the right color foundation.
To find a foundation, use a color guide and put it to the inner side of your wrist. You want the color from the guide to disappear into your wrist.
Natural is a great way to start with eyeshadows until you become more experienced. Try neutral tones like tans and browns, maybe a light pink or peach. Same for a blush.
The main rule is dark eyes or dark lips, never both. Don't do dramatic dark eyes and dark lips, you'll look too made up. If you do darker eyes, then go with a simple light lip, with maybe a little gloss. Or if you go neutral, natural eyes, then go with a darker lipstick for a dramatic affect.
And don't forget mascara. Max Factor is good for mascara. Their Lash Perfection has a great brush and comes out with no clumps. How do i find out wich make-up works best on my face?
If you go to Sephora they will analyze your skin and help you find shades. Even if you decide not to buy their products you can still get a makeover at just about any makeup store in the mall. My favorite site is www.sephora.com because almost all of their products are great AND they have advice experts as well as a color matching profile.
depends on your skin tone, hair color and personality.
Eye shadow: Green, orange and pink look good on everyone and they're fun
Lipgloss/lipstick: Neutral colors also look good on everyone, especially with brunettes with m/d skin and red lipstick with blonde hair
Blush: brown doesnt really go with fair skin and blonde
Hope I helped. Please Pick me for best answer!!

Need help with bird face make-up?
Okay, so i'm in beauty school and on saturday we are having a fantasy make-up competition. There are no rules and we may use whatever we want.
We're partnered up with a person and i've already had the idea of making her into a bird, so i already went %26amp; bought some big black feather eyelashes. I already know how i want to do the hair: braided or twisted vertically on the sides into a mohawk, tease it, %26amp; add some feathers into the hair to add more of the 'bird' effect.
The problem is, i've already got ideas on how to do the eyes but then i realized what should i do with the REST of the face? I've never used face paint or anything like that, so i really don't have a clue how to fix up the rest of her face %26amp; not let it be so blank and boring.
Any ideas?Need help with bird face make-up?

this looks cool
you could use blush the color of the feathers
and lipstick that color
you could paint one big feaher on one side of the face....
good luckNeed help with bird face make-up?
Do like really high cheek bones with pink blush and really contour the cheek bone line with black paint or shadow.. and some how do a beak..
For the lips, you could put foundation over the sides, so you can't see them, then just paint the small bit of middle lip, to make her mouth appear small and birdlike

What is the best make-up brand for oily face?
I need one for my oily faceWhat is the best make-up brand for oily face?
bare minerals allll the way! I also like prescriptives skin responsive tint...both work well with oily skin. What is the best make-up brand for oily face?
I use Bare Minerals and also oil blotting papers.
I like Cover Girl..... It works real well.
Don't add anything to your skin to make it oilier. Makeup is cakey and gross anyhow.
I love Revlon Colorstay because I also have oily skin on my face and I was so tired of makeup that only lasted a few hours because of it and I was always having to do touch-ups. But, when I started using Colorstay my makeup will last all day of course you still have to powder your face periodically to keep the shine down but the foundation does not budge till you wash it off.
something that's water based. The health-food store if they carry a cosmetic line will have some cosmetics that are for allergic and achene prone
l'oreal things are good so are covergirl make sure the item is oilfree
I use a powder foundation compact from Clinique. It makes your skin smooth and matte and you can touch up during the day.
I've used Clinique since high school because it's the only thing that won't break me out. I'm very oily as well.

I want to start face make up. Can anyone teach me?
What basic stuff I need?
What products(type) do I need?
(I know there's different type/texture of foundation)
What brand is cheap but good(or ok) + for oily skin?
I bought a CoverGirl foundation recently but I think that it is not really suit my skin color, bit red and darker. How do I choose the right foundation for my skin? I know I can try the sample but I only try it on my hand...
*I have oily skin
and my location is in Sydney, Australia
Many thanks :)I want to start face make up. Can anyone teach me?
you should try powder, or mineral.
i tried bare minerals, but since it contains bismuth it irritated my skin, but everyones skin is different so try it at sephora, and if it doesnt work, return it.
right now i use clinque perfectly real powder and i have combo/oily skin and my skin isn't oily yet.
it covers up my un even skin, but i don't have much acne.
for cheaper i heard covergirl's clean make up is good. try the powder.
(: good luck! I want to start face make up. Can anyone teach me?
Do you have walmart's there? haha I get everything there, try using a powder foundation and less moisturizer, something cheap like nuetragena... sorry can't spell, if you actually need foundation some people just have beautiful skin and down, you'll need a foundation brush it's a big poofy brush, if you want blush just buy the cheapest thing, you can't really mess up with blush, you'll need a blush brush, a little smaller, and if you like eyeshadow and eyeshadow brush, if your pale try a brown eyeliner or just a little mascara if your not pale get black eyeliner, if the eyeliners sounds really cheap don't buy it it's crap, get around a 4-5 dollar one... sorry I don't know amounts in australia and thats it I guess oh and don't get liquid foundation cause your skins oily, oh and first apply like a stick foundation it looks like lip stick but it's foundation, and to get the right skin color hold it up to your face, I always get the darker shade if i'm in the middle so I don't look paler, but i'm really pale, if you need help with applying makeup ask your mom or your friends or any girls in your life... HIH
Well,i dont really know about foundation...the best way to get the right one is to go to a makeup counter and ask the people there.
For other makeups...the basics are:
-eyeliner
-eyeshadow[maybe]
-mascara
-concealer.
thats basically it...but there is like blush/lipstick/etc...

i need help on what to do with my eyes and everythingWhat kind of full face make up would look well with this dress?
Lovely dress however please don't make the bare escentuals mistake this brand wears off quickly and clogs pores, creates irritation, itching and break outs. I highly discourage you from using this brand as I have seen such nightmares happen to skin.
I found you a step by step tutorial you can use and the products used in this video I use in my salon they are long wearing and great.

the dress isnt very eye catchy, so i think it'll kinda even out if yr eyes are eye catchy.
yr cheecks shouldnt scream ';PINK!'; because the colors on yr dress but it should be a soft, light pink so you can have a little color on yr face.

Women: how can men expect a pristine vagina when you need among many things make-up for your face?
Women: How should a man expect a lady's vagina to be pristine when she uses a myriad of tools to help conceal and augment her features not the least of which includes applying makeup to conceal even her face?Women: how can men expect a pristine vagina when you need among many things make-up for your face?
I've woke up next to so many ugly women thinking they were attractive the night before. Make-up can do miracles for some women.Women: how can men expect a pristine vagina when you need among many things make-up for your face?
So he says as he himself is harboring a half an inch thick layer of dickcheese under his foreskin and more dingleballs hanging from his anal hairs than he could ever count.
I don't know if I would like a vagina preserved in formaldehyde. I think that would be the only way to keep it ';pristine.';
I don't think men expect this and as a matter of fact I don't think they care. I think they are more concerned with what it feels (inside and out) and tastes like. Never had a guy say oh your vagina is so pretty! But I have heard similar on the other two senses.
Personally I could NEVER be a guy cause vaginas are disgusting!
oohhhh, I see!
Men only value us for our vaginas!
What a surprise.
Not.
Huh? These are two different things. But both are to be washed and cleaned. And a pristine vagina is one that has never been used. As for the face, well....I guess they like to make you guess.
I see by checking your previous questions that you asked if they ever found Laci Peterson's head.
Do you really want an answer to this question about a ';pristine vagina'; ..........
What exactly does a pristine vagina look like? And why in the world do you expect a woman to care what men expect her vagina to be like? It's *her* vagina.
Besides, are you afraid that you'll find some foundation down there? Or mascara, god forbid?
Seriously, women are not, and have no reason to be, as ashamed of their bodies as you seem to wish they were.
ETA: I think you already know the answer is: wrong. I get ';All feminists talk about is sex!'; so often, but when that's coming from the kinds of people who tell me that my essence is in my vagina... we live in a strange world. To say that a woman is only as good as her vagina, and then to expect her to keep that vagina pure and clean so that one day you might deem to grace her existence by taking that vagina and claiming it as your own? And how horrific would it be if she didn't keep it all nice and pure for poor little you! What use do you have for tainted meat?
How self-involved do you have to be to think like this, anyway?
I am not following your logic. If you are a man, and to be honest, I have not interest in really knowing, is all there is to you, your weener? I dont get the whole make up to vaginal purity or whatever you are trying to connect here.
Have you taken a college level physiology course? A vagina is like a very efficient self-cleaning oven. It regulates its own hygiene very well.

I have a fat face. make up tips? hair ideas?
im a skinny chick with a fat face. it bothers me, its cute like a chipmunk but i wanna look more my age not like a chubby 4 year old.
i dont wanna do plastic surgery, is there any make up tips to make me look like my face is skinnier? lol or something to make it look good or more mature? could u give me a link please. also if i cut my hair/dyed my hair would it make my face look different??? if i dye my hair black will it slim it?I have a fat face. make up tips? hair ideas?
get face framing layers.
a lot of hair stylists are good at framing your hair so it slims faces, just ask your stylist, most likely they will know what to do :)
also, when you wear makeup, try to accentuate other things rather than your cheeks. don't wear blush. play up your eyes, to take focus off your cheeks
also, a major part of ';looking'; more mature is the way you act, and hold your body. :) better posture can seem more mature.I have a fat face. make up tips? hair ideas?
My face isn't as defined as I would like it either but what helps me out to give my face some definition is make-up. Make-up brands sell blushes in two colors or more that are used to define the face. Also I use bronzer and plenty of other face powders. Makes my face slim instantly with no pain!
Here's a link to a easy way to do it:
get the face-framed hair cut, and if you've got a large forehead, some bangs would be nice too. for makeup, use a bronzer and blush to highlight the cheekbones and nose to make them look more defined. it almost puts like a fake high cheekbone ;)
what helps a load is something really really really simple.... you know that little ';dent'; by your jaw line?? it's below the cheek bones.. apply bronzer or blush there it helps to thin the face alot!!!! and it's very very simple
help Me out please??

umm....and try conturing your cheeks and highlighting your cheek bones %26amp; nose. (:

I need help with face make up?
Ok... I don't know anything related to face make up, like what to prepare before make up or the procedure or types of foundation...etc.
My skin is combination/ oily, easy to become oily even after washing my face. I bought a CoverGirl foundation (the one with olay ingredients) smells good but my skin easy to get shiny 2 hours after the application.
I don't know what are the products I need to apply face make up. And I don't want to buy too many, I don't really have time to do make up on the morning. So which 2 products that I must need for my face? liquid and power? Right?
What brand is good and cheap? CoverGirl? Maybeline? Rimmel? L'oreal?
Many thanks:)I need help with face make up?
If you have oily skin you should just use powder foundation.
I need help with face make up?
I'm a fan of Almay products personally, but L'oreal makes good ones too. If you have oily skin you obviously don't need a product that contains any sort of moisturizer. Most brands of make up carry a line specifically for oily/combination skin and I would try that. Also get loose powder instead of pressed to set the foundation but keep it from being heavy. The blotting papers are a good idea. Clean and Clear makes some that are really inexpensive.
If you use Blots (just ask the pharmasist or whatever) what they do is they are little peices of paper-like things that remove the oil on your face, and then if you apply the cover up it works better. I like neutrogena spot cover up but almay for poweder cover up. What I do is i put the neutrogena on little problem spots then I even out my skin tone with almay. It works really well hope I helped!
if you have oily skin then you should probably invest more money on buying a good foundation.....atleast i wouldn't trust something cheap going on my face everyday
clinique is a good brand that isn't too expensive and they sell sheer makeup for combination skin =/
i only go to MAC for face stuff because they have the best coverage. i have oily skin as well and i feel that MAC is totally worth it.
here's a simple routine to help combat the the oilyness:

Revlon colorstay liquid foundation for Oily/Combo skin
and finish with the Revlon colorstay pressed powder
.....they work amazing together!
Go to bee luscious cosmetics and use their customer servicce its wonderful and they really help you with explaining all the different products. They are very helpful.
I recommend their liquid minerals and the primers.
here is my regime
1) Cleanse and toner
2) moisturize/ sunblock or both
3) concealer
4) powder. - try a loose powder, cover girl loose power is ok to use it. -make sure it matches your skin tone
If you want extra cover up. Youll need a liquid foundation. Than after wards a power over top to conceil it :)

Have you tried any astringents, like Sea Breeze? That's really good for removing oil and residue from your skin. I would also recommend washing your face with something like Clean and Clear that may help clear up acne. How do i make my face clear up??????????
I was in your situation and had tried everything under the sun for 12 years (started having complexion problems at 9 years old). The only thing that EVER really made a big difference was Accutane. I was only able to take it for a month, though. You're supposed to take it for 5 months. While I was on it, I didn't experience any of the supposed side effects other than chapped lips. My face cleared up TREMENDOUSLY. Words can't describe the difference it made. My face wasn't shiny (it always was within an hour of putting on makeup) ,and my hair wasn't even greasy looking anymore. Even the really deep blackheads that are literally impossible to eliminate started to fade. Unfortunately I was unable to finish out the treatment because my parents were nervous about possible side effects, so everything came back after I stopped taking it. I am now 21 and have tried even more of the newer products to no avail. Proactiv made a SLIGHT difference, but certainly didn't fix my problem. The routine is also exhausting. I'm going to take Accutane again as soon as possible for the full course, as soon as I can afford it. For those like me, it is a miracle cure and worth any of the minute risks.
Neutrogena On-the-Spot Acne Treatment on the spots overnight.
You probably have mixed skin - like an oily T-zone. You should NOT be drying out your skin with astringent crap. I have both oily/dry skin and here's what I do: wash your face in the morning (with warm, NOT hot water) with some kind of mild cleanser. I use an Oil of Olay daily face wash. If you have dry spots, use a light face lotion on them. (I have to put lotion on my cheeks, for example, because they get very dry, but usually avoid lotioning my forehead.) Be sure the lotion is non-comodogenic; this means it doesn't clog pores. And try to find a lotion with an SPF - sunscreen. If you need or want to wash your face a second time during the day, that's OK. But I wouldn't wash more than twice. Your skin just doesn't need it.
So ... that's it. Don't buy any of that dumb expensive harsh chemical s.hit. Just wash with a cleanser, use lotion, and put the acne treatment on at night. It's worked great for me over the years.
I really like Biore Triple action toner because it cleared up my face in just 3 days and now my face is clear. It doesn't really matter if your face is oily because the toner does its job.
try mary kay face cleaner called velocity it works miricles! I promise it helped my friend so much and it is inexpensive. only $10 for good size tube!
if you dont know anyone who sells it you can go to marykay.com and search for a local consultant. and contact them. most likely they will deliver it to you.
Good luck hun i know acne is not something easy to deal with and i hope this works for you if you try it. and if not whatever you decide to do i hope it works! :)
mary kay works great! also use something simple like a scrub or morning burst for your face in the morning or night.
Well if you eat a lot of chocolate don't eat as much. And if you do wash your hands after. Touching you face after you eat chocolate is a bad thing. Ummm....Try asking a dermatologist.

Whats the best face make-up coverage for imperfections?
Whats the BEST face make-up coverage for imperfections like blemishes, acne scars, acne that also works with the shiny-ness and oily skin?? I've already tryed so many foundations, powders and liquids and theres some that don't do anything at all, like i'm just swiping on invisiable powder on my face and then theres the powder that looks good right when you put it on then 2 hrs later it turns orangy and cakey and its sliding down your face. It's so frusterating!! So now i'm coming to you guys for help. In your experiance with make-up whats a really good make-up to cover your imperfections including what concealer and powder/foundation?
Thanks for all your help!Whats the best face make-up coverage for imperfections?
Well let's start here. Are you wearing moisturizer before you put on the foundation? Because that helps with keeping your skin smooth and keeping the make-up from falling off your face. I definately recommend Mac. It's the best.Whats the best face make-up coverage for imperfections?
Yesterday on the TV, they used a green concealer, then a normal one, and then top it all off with foundation. Make sure to apply the green concealer well and that it is covered with the skin color concealer or else it will show after some time. It's not easy, it takes patience and practice. A tip is to emphesize more some other part of your face like the eyes or the lips. Hope it will help!
Theres a new liquid
foundation from maybelline.
Its like air whipped or something
like that, i cant think of the name
but im sure you can find it.
Go into one of the department store makeup counters at the mall %26amp; they'll help you find one that's good for you're skin and will look natural.
It might be pricey, but if you use it correctly it will last for a longgass time.
I also have oily skin and skin problems. I like MAC Studio Fix Fluid ( http://www.maccosmetics.com/product/spp.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CAT158%26amp;PRODUCT_ID=1231 ) the best as far as covering up acne and acne scars goes. However, some of the ingredients can sometimes irritate skin and break them out more. But, it does give the BEST coverage! Clinque's Repairwear is great as well, but is HORRIBLE for oily skin. I've heard a bunch of good things about Make Up Forever's foundation. And I like MAC %26amp; Clinique loose powders over my foundation. Have you tried going to an Ulta, Sephora, or some other make-up store and getting their advice? Their help is usually really useful.
Also, have you ever tried Dermablend? It's dermatologist recommend as being one of the best concealers/foundations for any type of skin issue including scars. I've never used it personally (although, considering) but, I've heard about it on celebrity talk shows as well as seen it in my dermatologist's office.

Is it ok to use many different brands of make up on ur face?
Can u use like a face lotion from like olay, concealer from ... (what's a good concealer brand for pimple scars or blotches?), bare minerals as foundation, blush and bronzer from benefit?
is that bad for your skin? since it's so many different chemicals? Is it ok to use many different brands of make up on ur face?
Different brands specialize in different products, so if you find a blush from a brand aside from what you usually use, definitely use it! I all sorts of cosmetics from different companies. Is it ok to use many different brands of make up on ur face?
no its not bad...most makeup artists use several varieties of makeups for stars faces and models...
Just remember to use a good cleanser to take your makeup off and the sooner you start to moisturise your skin the better. start by the time you hit 21.After that your skin starts to lose its elasticity. a good concealer is almay. its in a tube an dliquid. always dab lightly with your ring finger..this gives better coverage.
have fun with make up!!

I use Neutrogena Healthy Skin liquid foundation paired with my Smashbox powder (with a wet sponge) and it turns out beautifully. I haven't had any problems with doing this.
You shouldn't wear any type of foundation if you have something you're trying to cover face-wash or prescription medicine will make your skin look much healthier and pretty than that crap.

I've never had any problems doing it.
Yes of course. Companies tell you to use only products in their line because they don't want you to spend money on products made by the 'competition'. Although if you want to avoid chemicals you're better off avoiding most make-up altogether.
Not at all. You can use whatever you like. It all depends on how your skin reacts to it.
And always remember to never fall asleep with make-up, that's a big reason why break-outs occure. :o)
It is perfectly fine. As you try out new things you will actually find different products from different brands that work best for you. For example, I use one brand to wash my face, another for a vitamin c serum, and another to moisturize. For makeup, I have a favority eyeliner brand, a different mascara brand, and yet another favorite lip gloss brand.
Experiment and find out what works for you and what looks best on you.
