Can I use reg. face make-up as Stage Make-up?

I have this play in school but i don't have stage make-up and I need something fast what stuff should i use should .Should i use oil or something like that and I have dark skin = ) thanxCan I use reg. face make-up as Stage Make-up?
yeah probably.... it doesnt really matterCan I use reg. face make-up as Stage Make-up?
no stage makeup is a lot brighter the colors are more saturated and its a lot thicker so the audience can actually see it. the best way to get this affect with regular makeup is to dip the application brush in water before the makeup so it goes on a lot darker
use regular make up just use more than usual! And what the heck would you use oil for? dont put oil on your skin that would be a baddd idea!! just get drugstore makeup and use that heavily.
Ask the stage director, wardrobe coordinator or your colleagues for recommendations! And practice with product prior to the show to create the right application %26amp; have makeup remover wipes to help clean up.

It also depends on the look you need for the character but like everyone else has mentioned, a heavier application of color is needed %26amp; using a wet brush to apply eye makeup will make it bolder. Avoid light pastels since you have darker skin %26amp; use more jewel tones like garnet red, amethyst purple, deep golds %26amp; royal blues with some shimmer if applicable to your character.

Do not use oil based foundation, darker skin tends to be oily %26amp; it may not stay on. Try the new HD foundations with silicone for longevity.
