It does work, you just have to make sure you do it from a distance or your face might looked cracked. Don't put make up on again until at least a half hour, or it'll looked cracked, to.

I wouldn't recommend doing it on a regular basis, because it will clog your pores and potentially cause a breakout. BUT....
On my wedding day, my super fabulous professional makeup artist told me to *lightly* spray my face with hairspray to keep my makeup on. I didn't go nuts with my hairspray, just a fine mist.
It POURED on the day I got married, and was on the humid side but my makeup stayed on all night long. I did have to touch it up a bit for photos, but I really think the hairspray trick worked. Just my opinion.
Maybe it does,maybe it doesn't but I recommend you to not do that because you don't know what's in that hair spray,who knows if that could really irritate your skin and damage your pores and might cause more sensitivity in your skin. try mac spray,plus spraying hair spray onto your skin with make-up is NOT good for your skin.

What if you sweat with the spray on? or you pass your hand over your face it would catch dirt and bacteria.

Too risky, if you want to seal your makeup use lose or pressed powder to give it a nice finish and retouch every 2 hours.
To seal your eyelashes after curling them use a waterproof mascara and your eyebrows should be fine if u brush them with a lil eyebrow brush.

If you want to keep your make-up in place for an extended period of time, use a holding spray for make-up. A great spray for this is the Make Up For Ever Mist and Fix from Sephora. I've seen this stuff hold under heat lamps, blizzards, and an 18 hour workday, so I can tell you with confidence that this will work.

NO IT DOESN'T WORK.....ACTUALLY, IT DEPENDS ON THE MAKEUP BUT THE HAIRSPRAY RUINS YOUR PORES AND PUTS A LOT OF OIL IN THEM WHICH CAUSES BREAK-OUTS.

I actually do it. It keeps my eyelashes nice and curled. Also, your eyebrows won't go in a bunch of different directions. So, they may have been trying to be stupid - but some people really do use hairspray.
absolutely....aerosol hairspray is the best. dont spray in your eyes! close ur eyes hold the can at least a foot from your face. point your face up twrds the ceiling nd angle the can down. and spay lightly. is definitely like a sealant.
Uh, no. Sounds like they are in need of some assistance. Spraying hairspray on your face will just make your face highly flammable so, NO SMOKING, shiny looking, sticky, etc.
