What can I use on my dry face because my make up cracks and looks dry on my forehead and nose?

My skin only feels dry once I get out of shower and then looks horrible if i use foundation or powder make up. I use a mositureiser called Dove from the supermarket that I've used for years. What can I use on my dry face because my make up cracks and looks dry on my forehead and nose?
If your makeup cracks, that is a sign that you are def using too much. Lighten it up, or even go without for a few days since it is what is drying it out. Moisturize right out of the shower, and you may even need to put a few layers of it on a day!

Lauren %26lt;3What can I use on my dry face because my make up cracks and looks dry on my forehead and nose?
I had the same problem and I tried a daily scrub from neutrogena and a daily moisturizer from the same brand. Also changed my foundation from liquid to creamy, Im using revlon age defying and the best way to aply is to tap it into your face with your fingers, forget the pad it will leave a really thick layer and it will break when dry, also allow your skin to absorb the moisturizer before apliying the foundation. And finally top ir off with a thin layer of translucent powder to give it a matte finish.

Good luck
i use a moisturiser called Liz Earle, her stuff is all natural and really good. it makes your skin feel great. i think this is about 拢20 but i promise it is worth the money, my mum bought me the Liz Earle kit and i swear by it. After i moisturise i use maybelline dream matte mousse foundation as it is light and flawless on my skin %26amp; i use philosophy supernatural mineral make up over the top. it really does give you a flawless look and doesnt crack at all =]
use a light scrub and exfoliate once/twice a week. it should brighten your complexion.

use a light moisturisor with spf15+

you can also buy a tinted moisturisor which blends into your colouring and meansyou dont need foundation/powder. i dont like makeup because it sometimes looks a bit off, and if its heavy, will block your pores. if you need to use it, get a liquid foundation or a mouse. its light and doesnt look bad. powder only if you really feel the need coz sometimes it makes ppl look over done.

go for a facial now and then. its brightens the skin.

good luck
You might want to try a very gentle exfoliating scrub to get rid of the dead skin. Use it a couple of times a week to freshen your skin. That should the appearance of your skin a lot.

You may also want to try a new moisturizer, perhaps one that is a little heavier for dry/dehydrated skin.
when I worked in the snow, my skin was extremely dry and didn't know what to do.

I did some research and got to know that you can actually use Olive Oil to remove make-up and cleanse face. It helped a lot.

I now use just a natural soap free cleanser, but still used Olive Oil on dry spots or whenever I'm too lazy to wet my face.

All you have to do is put a table spoon full of olive oil on your face and gently massage all over your face and wipe it off with tissue. Try and wipe it off after 30seconds and be gentle.

With moisturizers, you need to remove dead skin before using any moisturizer. Other wise it can't get through deep enough to moisturize your skin. So regular exfoliation is a must.
Alba face moisturizer from Walgreens. A bit more than you'd like to pay, but a small amount of it goes a long way. I've had mine since Christmas and it's still nearly full!

The smell is also nice.

It is in a lime green and orange box and is mostly organic. Try it, I love it.
I can't recommend Active Manuka Honey Skincare enough, you will never look back. This is an amazing product, made in Australia, 60 day money back guarantee, it has done wonders for my skin and also my daughter.

This product will hydrate your skin.

I highly recommend it.

I could send some samples to you if you want. Just email me.
It sounds like you need to exfoliate, use a daily face exfoliating scrub to avoid this problem

most moisturizers ive used in my life have worked fine for me but try Pond's moisturizer put it on after your shower but make sure your face is dry first. the longer you wait the less of the full effect you get
moisturizing lotion and try using less make-up. it shouldn't crack whether or not your skin is dry, or i may be time to replace your make-up. if you uve had it for longer than 6-8 months, it just may be too old
How long do you wash your face? Are you putting too much pressure on it? You should only keep cleanser on your face for seconds, and lightly glide your fingers as you apply it.
This stuff works really well and is way better for your skin then chemical based products.
